Goals/Objectives:
The goal for College prep for
DI and RIII players is to provide Maximum level of Competition and
Exposure delivered by Expert Coaching.
These three elements are necessary to
place the highest achieving player’s into a competitive cauldron
necessary to producing top athletes and preparing them for success
beyond high school soccer.
The College Showcase team is
for the soccer player that wants to be linked directly to collegiate
coaches and players.
This spring program for high school aged
players competes with colleges, experiences campus tours, learns about
the varying collegiate divisions, and attends showcase tournaments.
Curriculum/Plan:
The age-appropriate curriculum follows the US Soccer
Best Practices and NSCAA curriculum. Detailed curriculums are available
for viewing.
Four-Pillars:

Technical:
14 years old: Build on the base and increase technical speed; 16 years
old: Skills should be mastered leading to artistry and improvisation,
all under match conditions; 18 years old: Mastered skills leading to
artistry; All at match conditions, demanding, excellence.

Tactical: 14 years old: Increase tactical speed and
decision making under pressure within small groups; 16 years old:
Increase tactical speed and decision making under pressure within larger
groups and accounting for the different thirds of the field; 18 years
old: Increase tactical speed and decision making under pressure while
having the ability to change and adapt to game dynamics.

Physical: 14 years old: All fitness with the ball; 16 & 18
years old:
Fitness should be done with and without
the ball.

The game should remain fun and enjoyable
while increasing passion for the game;
16 & 18 years old: Increased
concentration, player responsibilities, accountability, discipline, and
respect for the game.

Players are exposed to a
minimum of three practices per week and 25 – 35 matches per season.
Teams will play in tournaments and
regional matches according to their team goals and acceptance as
approved by the Directors of Coaching
